Sequenom’s SEQureDxTM technology is based on the pioneering work of Professor Dennis Lo, and isolates and analyzes circulating cell-free fetal nucleic acid from a maternal blood sample. The technology has particular promise for developing new, noninvasive tests for fetal gene and chromosome abnormalities such as aneuploidies - including trisomy 21.
Sequenom’s Fetal Nucleic Acid Technology is noninvasive, thereby posing minimal risk to the baby, and is intended to be used during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. |
