Setting a New Standard for Molecular Typing – MassARRAY® with iSEQ™

Accurate, Sensitive, Reproducible.

Today’s microbiology testing industry demands fast answers to accurately detect and type organisms that are relevant in the areas of food safety, clinical research, Biodefense, pharmaceutical QC, and environmental monitoring. Conventional phenotypic methods have proven to be labor-intensive relying on comparative assessment of phenotypic traits that may be affected by environmental changes. In addition, current microbial genotypic methods such as sequencing, pulse field gel electrophoresis, and ribotyping offer a stable DNA fingerprint, however, they prove to be time-consuming, costly, or may be restricted to their own proprietary reference databases.

The MassARRAY® System with iSEQ™ software sets a new precedent for rapid, accurate molecular identification of microbes, viruses, and other haploid organisms. Combining the sensitivity of PCR and the accuracy of MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry, the MassARRAY system enables a highly accurate, reproducible method for automated molecular typing. The iSEQ application complements the current microbial detection module using the iPLEX® chemistry.

The MassARRAY system with iSEQ offers the sensitivity and versatility that is superior to any other molecular identification system currently in the market. The versatility of the iSEQ software and open database enables comparative sequencing with a wide range of global reference databases.

Key benefits:

  • Customizable comparative sequence analysis for your target of interest
  • Integrated software for automated rapid results and data portability
  • Discriminatory power down to a single nucleotide
  • Data acquisition in  < 1 hr
  • Sequence Variation Detection and Clustering
  • Universal usage with a wide range of public reference databases
  • Scaleable throughput
