Sequenom Center for Molecular Medicine, LLC

The Sequenom Center for Molecular Medicine (Sequenom CMM) - a wholly-owned subsidiary, is a molecular diagnostics clinical laboratory located in Grand Rapids, MI and was originally founded as a joint venture between Spectrum Health and the Van Andel Institute. In 2008, Sequenom acquired the laboratory which then became known as Sequenom CMM. The laboratory has a Certificate of Accreditation as a "high complexity" laboratory under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Sequenom CMM's mission is to develop and offer laboratory developed tests as services to physicians, branded under the name SensiGene®.
