Reagents for QGE Experiments

Sequenom now offers a newly developed method, the iPLEX® Gold Assay for primer extension. The iPLEX® Gold reaction is a universal method for detecting insertions, deletions, substitutions, and other polymorphisms in amplified DNA, and is commonly used in SNP genotyping assays. For QGE, the competitor acts as an artificial allele resulting into two different extension products for each gene of interest under evaluation (see example in figure below).

iPLEX Reaction
  1. Prepare the iPLEX® Gold reaction cocktail
  2. Dispense 10 ml iPLEX® Gold cocktail into each well of a 96-well plate
  3. Robotically transfer 2 ml iPLEX® Gold cocktail from the 96-well plate to a 384-well plate
  4. Cycle as follows:
