Description: Sequenom is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to support outside sales representatives through qualified lead generation.
Responsibilities: Research prospects on-line to gather information on research endeavors and associations via Internet and other avenues. Research and explore information on target accounts for sales development. Direct cold contact (phone and email) of prospects for appointment setting. Responsible for coordinating sales appointments in conjunction with sales representatives' calendar commitments. Data entry of prospects into global database. Database management of prospects and weekly reporting to supervisor. High level of contact with director-level scientists. 10-15% travel required.
Requirements: BS in Biology required and experience in biotech field preferred. Experience in a laboratory setting and marketing or customer relations is a plus. Occasional trade-show attendance for lead generation and qualification. Ability to converse with prospects regarding Sequenom technology and its potential application to their research. Should have working knowledge of genomics or genetics and strong computer, search and information gathering skills. Must have professional phone and email abilities, data entry and database management experience and background in genotyping and gene expression is a plus.

Description: Sequenom is seeking a Sr. Information Systems Engineer. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting IT issues, evaluating new information systems products or services and suggesting changes to existing products or services to better aid the end user, and managing and participating in the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop PC, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers. It will also be responsible for home and small business networking and devices (hubs, switches, routers, KVM boxes), home ISP and configuration, Novell Zenworks, IManager, dirXML and eDirectory. This position will also manager, lead and direct 1-2 employees.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 7 years of previous IT experience. Must posses at least one industry recognized Hardware/Software Certification(s),such as CompTIA, A+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Experience with HP Jet Admin & VPN technology, Sales/SupportLogix client software or experience with wireless networking is a plus.

Description: To provide quality, timely technical support to Sequenom customers, engineers, and distributors specializing in bioinformatics and networking. Support may include but not be limited to phones, email, training, product testing, and on-site visits. This position will emphasize bioinformatics and network troubleshooting but will require a general level of knowledge and support capability for the entire Sequenom platform (Applications, Basic Hardware, Bioinformatics).
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant degree with 2+ years industry experience. Bioinformatics experience a plus. Must have previous experience with client-server environments, troubleshooting windows applications, database tuning and general networking. Oracle Database experience beneficial.
